Background
For over a century the company, located in the Lys valley, specialised in the bleaching of sheeting fabrics.
In 1960, the arrival of synthetic fibres meant that it was necessary to acquire equipment specially designed for printing on polyester, known as thermal transfer printing.
A change of activity was decided on and with the purchase of the first calender, Sonolys , (the Soc iété , or company, for en no bling the LYS ) was created.
In perfecting the quality of the printed mesh fabric, Sonolys became famous and is known in France and Europe under the name of “ Nappe Magique ” or “The Magic Tablecloth”. |
